In September 2023, I spent a month on an artist residency in County Kerry West Ireland. I was invited by a wonderful artist Bairbre Duggan and we stayed in a town called Listowel, courtesy of artist and gallery owner of Olive Stack.
My paintings and sketches began by observing the town’s back streets. This was followed by short trips away from the gallery, visiting the beautiful Ballybunion beach, a bus ride away. This was followed by a short excursion to the incredible Blasket Islands, which informed much of the work you’ll see here. I was so happy that one of these paintings was accepted this year for the Royal Academy Summer Show.
Feel free to contact me for details of available paintings.
